[ Kiyoshi ]
Right now, no one seriously strikes me as a suspect. Abrams and Martha are possibilities, but a lot of the evidence is weak. And I'm morally opposed to inactive players. I'd rather waste and Exile now as opposed to later. So begone!
---
Sure, it would be better for me if Kiyoshi idled out. But people seem to think that the Spies'll target Abrams, Martha, or even Beverly for that reason. Their number will be up in due time. Right now, the inactive is the smart vote for me.

I'm going to regret this, I know it. But I'm being pressured to do it.

Hell, I want her gone anyway.

Hmmm...I think in hindsight you should've stuck to your gut with kiyo, ya know? You would've earned your way into the jeremiah circle, a coveted position.

Hmmm...I think in hindsight you should've stuck to your gut with kiyo, ya know? You would've earned your way into the jeremiah circle, a coveted position. Totally agree with Naomi. The Traditionalists were absolutely right to take me out when they could, but what the Orthodoxy did was bad strategy. Short-term strategy. Warning: reference to past Spies game coming up. If you don't want it, skip over the part in italics. I remember where Leo, a spy, voted Davoni, a citizen. I was also a spy and HATED splitting our votes because I thought it would be the first thing the citizens would expect - hell, Karl (who was played by Angelica) and Nicole both seemed to suspect Leo strongly after that. But there was no way I could vote for Davoni. What pissed me off afterwards was that Leo didn't have the imagination to say about Davoni, "I don't like her, but I don't suspect her as a spy either so I'm not voting her." It would have been a powerful move.Fast forward to Spies 4. Angie's group should have done WHATEVER IT TOOK to keep me in. Obviously I trusted Faizah. I had nothing against Zander, because I didn't speak to him until right before exile, and I'd said to everyone who'd listen that Angie was my top suspect. Angie should have said: "Martha? She's irritating but her suspicion of me seems genuine. If she's suspicious of me, there's no way she could be a spy." (Without knowing there were two spies groups - even though the spies suspected there were - I'm sure the cits would've bought it.) So Angie's group had the option of either: - Keeping me around and having a powerful ally who trusted Faizah implicitly and would have helped to convince everyone that Angie wasn't a spy, or - Exiling me and having everybody I'd spoken to about Ange remember that she was my only suspect and that the spies wanted me gone. Having Faizah look like a bandwagonner who spread lies about exiled citizens (since I'd never told anybody I suspected anyone else, yet Faizah said my accusations were "all over the place".) Linking Faizah and Angelica together to anybody smart enough to see the connection. Even if they didn't expect me to stay, Faizah and Angie should have at least campaigned for me. Not doing so was a HUGE mistake that may very well have come back to bite them in the ass (considering one of the people I told about my Angelica suspicions was Gordy, and he was also the one who investigated Angelica in the end.)

I disagree, and stand by the decision. And I'm going to leave it at that. Debates with David over Spies play never ends well.

Weird comment about the "disagreements" part.
Othan the Davoni exile - and let's face it, we're never ever going to agree on that one - I really can't recall us ever having disagreed about anything Spies-wise... you don't have to convince me that exiling Jakub was a disastrous move; I'm well aware of that, thanks! On the contrary, a large part of my early game strategy was based on what you said regarding Jakub (which, in hindsight, probably wasn't wise since Jakub was exiled first as well!) What have we ever disagreed on?

You two disagree on EVERYTHING.
EVERYTHING.
Likewise, I agree Paul on nearly everything and disagree with you, YVES, on nearly everything. But Paul has a significantly longer fuse than I do and he'll ignore things/let things slide that I feel inclined to attack.

Erm... like me voting for you as the best citizen in Spies 4? Or Karl in Spies 2 (and that's despite the Davoni thing)? Again, beyond anything that happened in Spies 2 and the Gigi exile and Julian and Davoni and Nicole and Claire and Angelica and a few other things, what have we ever disagreed on? Oh wait...

Actually I'm at work right now, so I can't log in. Joking aside, I did take an awful lot of my strategy for Spies 4 from what Paul had said about the previous games, even if I never got to use most of it. So we must agree on SOMETHING!

I don't think we do. I'm still calling you Yves, by the way. We can add that to the "things we disagree on" list.

I don't think we do. I'm still calling you Yves, by the way. We can add that to the "things we disagree on" list. I meant me and Paul. You and me... not so much. But seriously, DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY, because it's coming across here like you do. Based on what I've seen (which obviously doesn't include AIM conversations) I still think you were the best citizen in Spies 4, and purely based on hindsight (since you didn't make any impression on me at all during Spies 1) I think Monica was the best citizen leader that there's been in a Spies game yet (although I'll be watching out for contenders for that title in Spies 4 as well), and I still think you were an awesome spy as Bebe. I said in the Loser's Lounge that I "never know what you'll bring to the table" and that I "can't imagine a Spies game without DC and Blake in it". Just because I've ripped into the way Adriana played the game somewhat (and note that, however harsh I was, I never questioned her dedication) doesn't mean that I don't have respect for you as a player. On the contrary, I've said time and time again that I do. And you're quite welcome to take THAT personally! The fact is, I post pretty much everything, positive or negative. It's hardly ever personal, or at least meant as such. (although there's one particularly vicious Loser's Lounge post about Bev that I did retract afterwards - I've left both the post and retraction intact, as always, so you can judge that for yourself.) Paul made what I view as a single bad strategic decision. Do you think I don't respect him because of that? Does it cancel out his role in Leo's exile or the fact that he was primarily responsible for mine? Does it mean I no longer give him any credit for a win in another (Spies-unrelated) game that we were both in? Of course not. Besides, people are free to judge or ignore me - or anybody else - as they like. People are strange like that, they have minds of their own, and I personally think it's a good thing if they use them.

Nah Yves I don't take our exchanges personally. You really are a nice guy and you have good intentions. We just never agree on how events unfold. That's also what I mean by how you and Paul disagree - and I don't mean to put words in Paul's mouth - but his point of view is usually more similar to mine than yours.

Oh well, at least I can usually count on Meaghan (Nicole) to agree with me. Meaghan! Can't believe she wasn't in this game... The funny-ironic thing is that one of the reasons I liked you so much in this game was because I agreed with so much of what you said in the Burg. I was cheering you on when you said your suspicions of Faizah, because it was practically the first time anybody had said anything against someone I actually thought was a very likely spy.
