I've never written round 10 before. Or round 9 for that matter. Double digits - this is the serious stuff!
I jotted down a list of things I needed to go through my confessional and look for. The problem is, my techniques never would have worked on spies2Tyson or most of the Spies from Spies 3, so why should I assume they'd work now? (All right Sam, I know, enough with the previous game references).
What I'm trying to say is there are some strategies you'd think spies would use: Bandwagoning, avoid exiling a fellow Spy, working in pairs, etc.. But some Spies don't behave conventionally and you'll never catch them using conventional techniques.
Never underestimate your opponent.
Masaki, Beverly, Naomi, Emma, and Angelica have underestimated me, I feel. I think that if they knew that I was still in the game this late, they would be shocked. But I'm working hard to make sure I don't fall into the traps others do that reveal their identities, so I feel like I've earned my place.
I also don't feel the shame I felt in spies 2 (oops previous game reference) when I was still in the game late. So far 5 of 7 spies have been eliminated. I've had a hand in Naomi, Beverly, and Angelica's exiles, and later influence with Masaki's. 6 of our exiles have been citizen exiles, but I had no part in Martha's, Grace's, Jeremiah's, or Abrams'.
During Martha's there wasn't anything I could do. I couldn't vote Kiyoshi to save her because of family restrictions, and I wasn't going to jump on the Martha bandwagon because I didn't suspect her. I had to waste my vote on Lloyd.
During Grace'e exile I voted Hannah. We'll see if I was right on that one.
I was ineligible to vote for or against Jeremiah in the schism exile. By then Jeremiah doomed himself anyway.
During Abrams' exile I voted in the majority for Masaki. If it hadn't been for idle activity, he would have left and I would have claimed partial credit for it.
I did have a hand in exiling Ralph and Cain. My biggest regret of this game so far is advising Candy to switch from Masaki to Cain.
I consider my game solid and respectable so far.
Next moves:
- Don't exile Damon. Reason: Angelica encouraging Gordy to vote for Damon and singling him out for inactivity.
- Don't exile Candy. Obviously.
- Don't exile Kip. Until I know more about the role claim, I will stick to my initial interpretation of Old Kip's confessional. Evidence is evidence.
The next move will be to exile Faizah.
