Why not use facebook?
You could use the event application (which everyone has [not sure if you can remove it, never tried]) to create an event for spies 5. This way, we can just click to invite everybody on our friends lists and if they are curious, they can check it out. We can post links to the sites for spies 1-4, link to rules. Just some stuff to get some interest in the game from people who have never played.
It'll also branch out if you have a few friends who you met on facebook mafia, who have other friends they met on facebook mafia, and so on.

Erm... nope. I don't mind signing up to proboards. I will NEVER sign up to Facebook - at least, not until they change the entire way that they run their site. Nor would I ever advise anybody else to.

We could send out mass group invitations, but the group seems more directed towards people who have already played.

This is an excellent idea and something I will definitely do. Is anyone a Facebook expert that would know the best way of going about this? Can we tie it into the Facebook group: www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6014063321 or is it a separate thing? I think this is an awesome way and would work very well, I'm just not very familiar with facebook so I need help haha. |

I think all you really have to do is create an event and invite your friends to it. The problem with this is you cannot invite people you aren't friends with, but if you make it an open event you can tell plenty of people you meet in Facebook Mafia to join. I personally am not friends with any people I've met online on Facebook except for people through Spies, so I wouldn't be too much help in recruitment, and since most of my friends think it's dumb... I'll continue to try and recruit from the other two sites I play on  |
