I know some of you like to talk about previous games a lot so this might be up your alley. For Spies 5 I'm going to include a "Remembering the Past" type board or something. In there there will be threads describing each Spies game. They will act as both a refresher for people who have forgotten them as well as summarizing the whole game for people who didn't play in them. Each topic should be a relatively succinct summary of all the important parts of the game. Here is what I would include (any ideas for other things to include?): Roles - Explain what every role did. Add in one important event regarding that role that hugely affected the game. Twists - Explain the main twist. Perhaps add smaller twists along the way (like the Trial). Huge Events - Pick a few major events that changed the game and explain why. Spy Strategies - Extremely succinctly explain the strategies of the Spies as a whole and whether they succeeded. Citizen Strategies - Extremely succinctly explain the strategies of the Citizens as a whole and whether they succeeded. Stand-out Players - Pick a few people who made a huge impact and explain their part in big events. And then I'll make it pretty with pictures. I know this is hugely subjective (especially that last part) but this isn't an encyclopedia entry, it's a quick refresher/summary. If you would like to write one up, just take maybe 20 minutes and type it out and post it here! I would very much appreciate it, would save me a lot of time. Thank youuuuu.

(I wanted to beat Yves to it. I know I left some things out, like the Swap game and the rankings, but I feel that these are the most important points)
Also, if you are going to use this or elements of this, I want a citation.
Spies 1:
Setup: 18 players total 3 Spies (Gigi, Julian, Mercedes) 3 Role holders - One Psychic (Knew in advance who would be imprisoned and could choose to save the victim once) - Two Counteragents (Allowed to each investigate the Spy/Citizen identity of one person of their choice every round)
Game length: 5 rounds (19 days) Number of exiles: 5 Winners: Citizens
The game got off to a good start for the Spies. Factions formed as one group of players wanted to exile an inactive (Damien) while the other wanted to exile the player who pushed very strongly to exile Damien (Sage). Damien the inactive was exiled by a one-vote margin and revealed to be a citizen.
Julian the Spy subtly spread the idea that Gurinder was a good spy suspect. This was the only attempt the Spies made to control the game or sabotage the Citizens. Monica the counteragent decided it was a good idea to investigate Gurinder, and was told he was a Citizen. A strong bond formed between the two that lasted the entire game. Soraya, the other counteragent, didn't investigate anyone.
In round 2, the players who had previously voted for Sage were determined to eliminate him. Sage the Psychic never revealed that he had a role, and was thus exiled.
Both counteragents next investigated citizens (Emma and DJ).
A challenge for imprisonment immunity was a turning point in the game. Citizens formed temporarily alliances to knock their Spy suspects out of the running. Monica and Soraya noticed they were both particularly desperate for imprisonment immunity and revealed their counteragent status to each other. They formed the Miss Scarlett Alliance, which included the 3 citizens they had investigated.
The Miss Scarlett alliance then eliminated all 3 Spies in a row, thanks to teamwork, trust, perceptiveness, and the ability of all its members to keep a secret. Gurinder and Soraya hid the Miss Scarlett alliance from the Spies by including two non-investigated members, Caroline and Gerta, which proved helpful when the Spies imprisoned Gerta, thinking she was a counteragent and the group's leader.
The most infamous moment of the game involved an anonymous messaging system that was utilized by Soraya to trap the last Spy, Mercedes.
Soraya sent this message to Mercedes:
"... All hope is not lost, you can call me a wild card. Of course the spies need some help and thats why I am here ... Now if you know whats good for you you'll imprison DJ. Or else its bye bye spies!"
Mercedes tried to respond:
"Are you a secret spy-helper? Is this a card that has not been played? Do they know that I am a spy? And how do I know that you are not the counteragent who is just trying to save yourself before I find out who you are? And how do you know I'm a spy in the first place?"
Judge Sam questioned her choice:
"Are you sure you want to send this? You are the only Spy. You are admitting to an anonymous citizen that you are a Spy."
Mercedes decided not to send the message, but imprisoned DJ (played by Trey) anyway, sealing her fate and beginning the curse that ensured that Trey would be imprisoned in Spies games when his side was close to winning.
Now, when a Spy does something so stupid that it reveals their Spy identity, we call it "A Mercedes Moment".

You can have your citation. You had no need to beat me to it. There was way too much that went on in Spies 1 that I didn't know about at the time - in particular the counteragent and Monica-led stuff. I made it clear in the Loser's Lounge that I really don't care about this "history" stuff - everybody has their own memories, and everyone knows what's special to them. That does give me an idea though... As for Spies 2, I could probably write something, but it would obviously have a lot of bias towards certain people - and against others - so I won't. The only thing is that practically anybody else would have a similar bias one way or another. If this is supposed to be "definitive" (to which I say "blah, no such thing"), I'd definitely like to make sure that Karl, Nicole and Davoni get all the credit that's due to them for the MASSIVE contributions they made to the citizen cause. (I'm not too worried about Tyson - everybody who was in that game knows what I accomplished - but those three were all underrated in some way, even after the game finished.) Frankly I don't know who could write a really good unbiased view of Spies 2... it seems like everybody had a "side". Paul didn't really see the EMP side of things, Meaghan and Rodney didn't really see the Adriana side of things, and everybody else in the game that I can think of just missed too much. Perhaps Allison? She was close to Jenna/Adriana and EMP...

My idea...
Sam's "memory board" idea worked really well in Spies 4. How about a "Memory Board" for each Spies game? Everybody who wants to can post what they remember, what they found fun, who they were the closest to, what the best moves were, etc. I know it's not going to end up with a blow-by-blow account, but then from you're never going to get that from one person anyway.

Sam have you ever thought about hosting these all on one board rather than a separate board for each season? Or have some kind of board/site that ties them all together?

I don't see the sense in the idea of board consolidation. It would make things way more confusing, if anything.

I do like Yves' memory board idea though. You can't really write about Spies 2 from a factual standpoint. Anyone who got involved in the game inevitably has a ton of bias (which is why I consider that game to be epic).

Thank you DC! I'll post that and give you credit, it's exactly what I was looking for. If anyone wants to add things to it just say so. I agree that no one can give a completely accurate picture, but maybe we can piece one together from a bunch of different viewpoints.

"Gerta single-handedly exiles all three spies. Despite the fact that she was imprisoned by the time two of them were exiled, and opposed the exile of the last one earlier in the game."
Will that do for my contribution?

Also, the if we want to make it complete or something, we can change "Stand-out players" to a profile of every player. Each profile can contain their strategy, and stuff on their stay on the game.

I would prefer to do all the games on one board, but with the color customization and all the boards, storing it all would be a hassle and hard to do. As is I kind of use the Asteria board as a "portal" and I'll post more there.
Re David's idea with creating a thread and everybody posts their thoughts - that's gonna happen with the Spies 5 board. I just need a starter post.
I'm not sure I understand the wiki thing. The whole of mafiascum has a wiki and no one uses it. This thing is like 1% as big haha. Not really looking for an entry on every single person, just a short, succinct summary ala what DC did for Spies 1 to start things off. Doesn't have to be perfect, it can be added to or adjusted in the future.

I can see it now...
~~Episode Nine~~
Episode Nine, which consisted of a Traditionalist Imprisonment and double Exile, was by far the most vital stage of the game for both Spies and Citizens. Unfortunately, Candy messed it up by outing Singe's role. Singe messed it up by acting sketchy and inconsistent with his story. No, CANDY messed it up because she went after Kip.SINGE FUCKED IT UP BY STUPIDLY SUPPORTING HIM!!Gordy didn't use his time wisely, causing the Citizens to nearly lose.Fuck it... Mistaki Masaki MISTAKI Masaki caused the many issues and wars, and the Citizens all agree he is to worship BLAME for their inability to conclusively describe this episode, because it's he's... well... ugly perverted a freak a loser in need of some loooooove STOP EDITING THE WIKI sneaky...

Spies 3 featured 26 players and lasted 7 rounds (36 days).
Week 1
The game began with a group of 15 players. Many of them were new players to the game and assumed that they would be the only ones playing. With the amount of spies withheld from general knowledge, many citizens began to assume that there were 3 spies among them.
A player known as Imagine was Imprisoned first, though it was not done by the spies choice. This would spawn many jokes about "imagination", one memorably being "Imagine That."
An initial conflict began when citizens became torn between choosing to eliminate less active players or more suspicious players. Players like Anneliese and Jakub chose to target seemingly less active Carrie, while Leena, Miles, Jessica, Reicheru, and Judith would vote for their biggest suspect, Jakub.
The first vote came down to a tie where Carrie and Jennipher both switched votes to Jakub, who in turn was exiled. Anneliese and Tyler did not vote in the revote. Jakub was revealed as a citizen.
The exile would become a great target of speculation, as many players began to accuse the Jakub voters of having at least one spy in their midst. Though the spy was Jessica, she would continue to be the least suspected among them for quite a while.
Week 2
Citizens began to fear for their safety in the game, while the spies pretended to be just as afraid.
Players then competed in a challenge to win safety from an Exile & Imprisonment, or just an Imprisonment. Some struggled while some players, like Judith and Leena, excelled.
In an effort to eliminate someone that could be a threat and could trace back to the spies, Leena was Imprisoned.
Anneliese made an effort to spread knowledge of her role in the event that she was Imprisoned. She revealed the factual details to two players initially - Reicheru and Tenchi, based on pre-alignment interactions. Tenchi, a spy, would use this role information to continue to manipulate Anneliese and those she told of the role throughout the game. Later in this week, Anneliese also informed Jack of her role, though she trusted him the least out of the entire group.
Large suspicions continued to flow about Jennipher and Carrie, and the loving Judith, who claims she knows there are three spies, becomes a large suspect among her fellow citizens. In the 2nd exile, Tyler was eliminated by self-votes, despite the effort Jessica and Anneliese made to make him become more active.
Week 3
Immediately after the exile, the season's twist is revealed to the cast - they have found more survivors of the government's attack. 11 more players join the game. Many people in the "original" group become angry and worried, as their spy theories are quickly thrown out the window. The results of the challenge are revealed as one by one the members of the other group are brought in according to their time. Many players become confused, and others become outraged.
While the "original" group played on, the other survivors participated in challenges to find one another. Among them, Audrey and Sujata had strong performances.
When Judith's excellent time in the challenge is beaten by newcomer Bebe, she becomes outraged. Judith is safe from the next Imprisonment, while Bebe is safe from both Week 3 Imprisonment & Exile.
Judith accuses Bebe of being a spy with deadly accuracy, though Bebe and many other players pass it off as Judith being jealous of Bebe's performance and accusing her of cheating. Suspicions of Judith continue to grow among the collective.
Anneliese continues to fear that she may have told the wrong person about her role, and hopes she can trust those she told her secret word to. When Audrey from the new group is Imprisoned as a threat, Anneliese becomes convinced that there are no spies among her trust group of Reicheru, Tenchi, and Jack. Anneliese tells Jennipher a fake secret word, though she informs her of her ability. Anneliese tells Jessica of her ability and gives her the real word, also informing her that she told Jennipher a fake word because she distrusts her.
Jack and Tenchi's bond continues to grow, as they convince each other that pretending to be suspicious of one another will save them from both exiles and imprisonments. Reicheru and Tenchi begin to explore their romantic relationship.
Many people from the new group feel isolated and make an effort to reach out to the original group. Among them are Claire and Bruce. Some people become suspicious of this action but dismiss it for the ongoing tension between Judith and Bebe.
Hatred among Anneliese and Arthur continues to grow as their personalities clash over what is best for the burg. Both blame the other for the lack of success with catching spies thus far, even though both have voted similarly.
Reicheru, who has become quite close with Judith, is convinced that she is a spy. She employs Jack, Tenchi, and Anneliese to help her eliminated Judith at the next exile by accusing her identity. Because the group seems to trust each other, they plan to follow her lead.
At exile, Claire is revealed to have cheated at the challenge, a topic which brings her under strong scrutiny from her other contestants.
Newcomers Jordan and Sujata both recieve self votes, and new players have yet to speak to Sujata.
The vote comes close between Carrie and Judith, with every spy except for Claire voting for Judith. Ultimately the accusation votes from Tenchi, Jack, and Anneliese (Who are all new players to Spies) would make Judith the 3rd citizen exiled from the game.
Suspicions immediately turn to Reicheru, who convinced her friends that she was "100% Judith was a spy". Judith leaves behind a touching letter to the burg.
*Episodes 4,5,6,7 to come. Let me know what you think so far. I'm trying to not focus so much from Anneliese's perspective but because it was almost a year ago and I only really know what happened from my eyes, that's all I really have to go with without going back and referencing everything (though I'm trying).

Week 4
Trina and Bebe exhibit a very close bond. Trina entrusts Bebe with all of her thoughts and secret information, including her role, Do or Die.
Anneliese becomes frantic once again, attempting to avoid Imprisonment. She receives a note from Sam notifying her that her bunker progress is abysmally low (5 points between five people, though there should be somewhere around 8 or 9), meaning a spy has not posted the secret word in their confessional in an attempt to not blow up the bunker and notify Anneliese of a traitor. Knowing that there must be at least one spy among the group of four she has told her word to (Tenchi, Jessica, Reicheru, Jennipher and Jack), Anneliese takes her entire role and all of the information she has learned public. Knowing this greatly endangers the citizens within the group, Reicheru reacts strongly.
"This is a fucking FIASCO. Anneliese, I blame you ENTIRELY. You've probably gone and killed us all, with yourself as first on the hit list. If you have ANY decency left, if you have finally shed the delusion that somehow sacrificing half the fucking citizens in the burg in the HOPE of perhaps getting ONE FUCKING SPY is somehow NOBLE AND GOOD, you had better SHUT THE HELL UP and don't attempt to even suggest that any of us is SAFE!!!!!!!!"
Anneliese taking her role public would lead to the most memorable moment of the game, and is now only referred to as the "Bunker Drama".
Many people remain skeptical about Anneliese's role, as she has spread entirely different stories about her role to several suspects in order to keep herself safe. Some people like Brooks and Claire assume that if Anneliese is Imprisoned, a spy will leave in her place. However, since there are Spies among Anneliese's trust group, they know this is not the true power of the role.
At Imprisonment, Anneliese is suggested to leave. Shane, however, activates his Decision Maker ability, successfully preventing her from being Imprisoned. Though Jack and Shane seemed to trust one another prior to this event, Jack is responsible for taking Shane's claim public.
There is confusion over whether or not it was a gift or a role, and many people immediately claim suspicions of Shane lying about receiving a gift. Trina, who knows that Taylor is the gift giver, is aware of every gift given, and heads this front.
In order to take away from the stress of the week, a Costume Party is hosted by Sam, which includes suspicion threads and opinions on players. Among the suspicion threads, Anneliese, Taylor, and Trina rank extremely low.
Anneliese's trust for Trina begins to expand when Trina trusts her with her role, Do or Die. Anneliese, in an attempt to yet again throw off the spies, publicly states that she lied about her entire role, even though the information pinpointed 2 sets of 1 person being a spy. When Tenchi successfully dissuades her from analyzing the situation mathematically, Anneliese gives up on using the bunker for any viable information.
Come exile, Anneliese's suspicions of Jennipher have risen to an all-time high, as she believes she is playing dumb. Anneliese convinces Reicheru that she owes her one for exiling Judith, and insists that Jennipher or Jessica is a spy, though she full-heartedly trusts Jessica.
Jennipher is lynched, and revealed as a citizen. In a surprise announcement, the citizens have another chance through a double-exile, and Carrie, a long-time suspect, is eliminated. She is revealed as a citizen.
This is memorably one of the most destructive and least fruitful episodes in Spies history. All evidencial information was thrown away and every spy effectively knew of every role by this point, fully allowing them to manipulate the game.
