~ Episode I ~
Oct. 7 - Day 1 : Spies 4 begins at 9:30 AM CST. Most players check-in before the 9:00 PM Opening Chat. The character of Sherri is played by Ross (spies3Tenchi). Sherri will be Imprisoned first. Sherri: “Today was really exhilarating! I believe I have talked to around 20 people in the span of five hours.” Lloyd’s disappointment over the picture he was given leads him to a new strategy: “From here on out I will be bitter and spiteful.” Jeremiah: “I was immediately approached by Beverly, who seems to be assembling a cabal of obnoxious whores in an attempt to control the game. Beverly infuriates me so much, as does Lloyd.”
Beverly creates a splash with her loud, obnoxious, ALL CAPS character, garnering her early votes. She divides people into “hotties” and “fuglies.” Some families form cliques, one notable one is the Divas. Candy: “This is going to be one heck of a game. I just know it.” 26 of 29 people show up for the Opening Chat. Families are announced. Naomi wins the Tiebreaker challenge. Identities are revealed. Orthodoxy: Angelica, Faizah, Zander. Traditionalists: Emma, Beverly, Naomi, Masaki. Fatemaker: Candy. Martyr: Gordy. Bodyguard: Singe. Priest: Johan.
Oct. 8 - Day 2 : Abrams becomes the Burg’s next target. Jeremiah calls Abrams out on suddenly being nice to Bev. Eventually his name is cleared through defending himself. Ralph forms many alliances. Johan writes a 2,249 word play involving the first 2 days of Spies 4. Singe: “Bev was awkward when I asked her if she was excited for her role... "SURE".” Sherri starts head first trying to find Spies both in AIM and in the Burg. By a vote of 13-7, people dislike Beverly. Zander, Adelaide, Jeremiah and Lloyd are among a minority of people who suggest that an inactive should be voted out.
Oct. 9 - Day 3 : Imprisonment I. Sherri: “I hope that the established culture of spreading information in the Burg would continue.” The Burg is shocked by Sherri’s Imprisonment. Hannah: “Well, well done Sam, Sherri being the puppet, I did NOT see that one coming.” Hannah “Well, i am still voting Abrams, but man would I love to vote out beverly, just so we are all spared any more of her. But I am sticking with my word to ralph... I also wonder about Martha, if she is playing the victim, or if she really is one, God knows its easy to be one when being attacked by Beverly...” Beverly and Martha fight. Abrams and Martha fight which raises the eyebrows of many. Emma: “thats riiight everyone stop the fighting you're making this so twisted and confusing”
Martha creates a last ditch effort fingering Angelica as a Spy. Hannah receives a PM from Martha that says that Angelica is a spy. Hannah, being close with Angelica, immediately joins Bev's anti-Martha group. Martha backs off from Angelica. Jeremiah and Naomi begin a close friendship. Cain makes Government Files with none of his own theories in them.
Oct. 10 - Day 4 : Exile I. Martha is Exiled by just one vote. Martha: “I really thought that people would accept Martha as something of an outrageous joke… I certainly never expected anything like that!” Lloyd throws the first of his many deranged temper tantrums in Exile chat.
Judge Sam: “First thought: Everytime there's a strategic thread in the Burg ALL the Spies post in it. I'm talking like all of them. 66% of posts in any strategic thread are from Spies.
Look at the recent one about Martha/Abrams - 6 out of 7 Spies have posted in that topic. 6 out of 21 Citizens have posted, 3 of them only a few words. Spies need to baaaaaaaack off posting in the Burg, it's starting to look way too obvious!”
~ Episode II ~
Oct. 11 - Day 5 : Naomi writes: “PEOPLE OF THE BURG!!! URGENT!!!” a long citizen manifesto. Hannah and Ralph take heat from Martha’s exile. Lloyd creates a topic in the Burg saying he suspects Madison and Naomi. Adelaide suspects Zander: “Okay so he seems to have got his family voting the wrong person even tho he wanted an inactive out from the start. His reason for voting Martha was so wishy washy and irrational. He thinks hes more articulate and clever than he is. I think hes pinning all bad attention on madison and ralph. Get. Him. Out.” Kip and Candy are suspected by a number of people for being stand offish.
Oct. 12 - Day 6 : Candy gets her first Fatemaker question: “Who do you want to have an advantage in the next challenge? Emma or Angelica?” She chooses Angelica. Gordy: “Since getting imprisonment is beneficial, I spilled the beans to RALPH about my role. I didn't say my role's name but gave him huge hints. And once he leaks it out I will get imprisoned and stuff yay!!!!!” Lloyd gets in a major argument with Candy and swears to get her out.
The players compete in Challenge II: Task 19 Tasks at once. Candy, Abrams, and Johan win. Candy wins Immunity from Exile II and the Mystery Prize – a gorgeous picture created by Sam specially for her: i57.photobucket.com/albums/g221/SorintheSeeker/mysteryprize42544.jpg She rudely insults this special gift. Abrams wins Immunity from Exile VI, Johan wins Immunity from Imprisonment III. Major discussion revolves around Kiyoshi’s inactivity and whether to vote him or Madison. Damon is replaced. Gordy, Cain and Ralph begin showing their close friendships. Gordy believes that the two are citizens.
Oct. 13 - Day 7 : Imprisonment II. Fatemaker 2: Candy gets too choose who gets Imprisoned. The Orthodoxy send Lloyd, Traditionalists send Lise. Despite a seeting hatred towards sworn enemy Lloyd, Candy surprisingly chooses Lise. Candy: “I made a mistake by keeping Lloyd. He's my #1 critic. He stayed and that means I might leave.”
Singe creates many topics in the Burg: “Time to stir things up. This town's sleepwalking through day two.” Beverly: “Singe and I spoke and we started this whole "get people to talk" motion. As a spy it really helps me get to see where people stand on the spies. It also let me put suspicion on Singe, someone who wasn't that suspected. I said the point of it was to make things less messy, but all it's done is add more mess to the citizens. Perfect.” The family of Naomi, Masaki, and Leon is fractured. Naomi: “I am really frustrated about my family right now. We're a person down, because of me being stubborn. Leon has splintered off and doesn't even engage in conversation with Masaki and I.”
Oct. 14 - Day 8 : Beverly: “We didn't win the challenge. DAMN! I wanted the Mystery Prize. I think Candy'll end up getting it. I bet it's like, a free investigation. That's like, THE scariest thing for me right now. Being caught with an investigation. Then... it's all over. That's why we need to catch some roles.” Lise, whose character lives in South Africa, says she has jackals in her backyard. Hannah, who actually lives in South Africa, is offended. Lise also tells a bunch of people that she’s “silent but intelligent.” This would lead to her getting Imprisoned. Singe asks players to post their suspicions and their trusted citizens in the Burg; discussions result. Hannah creates a divisive poll: Who do you think should go this Exile?
Oct. 15 - Day 9 : Exile II, 2 Spy groups revealed. Suspicions close in on Hannah and Madison as the two fight to survive. Angelica makes friends with Gordy. Damon is unhappy with being accused because he is a replacement: “Nothing is more frustrating than someone accusing you of being a Spy only because you were brought into the game to play one character over another.”
After Exile, it is revealed that there are two groups of Spies competing against each other – the Traditionalists and the Orthodoxy. Everyone is shocked. Faizah: “ANOTHER set of spies? As is this shit wasnt hard enough, we are fighting OTHER SPIES?? We aren't even safe at Imprisonment now.” Summer: “Last night's chat was HILARIOUS. Beverly, Angelica, Zander, Bunni, and I (and a few others?) played the "Guess who I am?!" game. We all imitated each other and first to guess who was being imitated got to do the next imitation. Fun times.”
~ Episode III ~
Oct. 16 - Day 10 : Gordy tells more people about his Matryr goal: Get Imprisoned for bonuses. This backfires because the Spies hear this and decide not to Imprison him for the time being. Although many still loathe Beverly, some, including Gordy, are beginning to trust her and tell her things. Damon educates the Burg on Lurking Vs. Inactivity. Hannah wonders why there was so much discussion in the Burg when 50% of the players changed their vote afterwards. Damon: “Why are so many people treating this like a reality game show? Let's make alliances! I won't vote you if you won't vote for me! That type of bullcrap puts a hamper on what people can and cannot do. We already have the family situations to work around lets not make this more difficult!”
Oct. 17 - Day 11 : Imprisonment III, The Schism. Candy splits the group in two, unknowingly putting all the Traditionalists in Group 1 and all the Orthodoxy in Group 2. This allows each group to control their Exile. Summer begins to be suspected by many people. Lloyd suspects Ralph and Madison are in the same Spy group. Lloyd calls out Ralph for creating a fake role.
Lloyd: “It does suck to go. After being such a power player, and just finally getting into my groove and gaining power. I do feel like I played under my ability. Alot of drama IRL caused me to not care about being imprisoned since I was having a hard time keeping up. And because of that, I threw subtly out the window and went all out. I suppose it was for the best. Had I gone for subtly, I may have not caught as many spies as I did (yes, I know I caught spies). Minor: Ralph
Madison Candy Major: Leon Summer Faizah Naomi. While I am almost positive about the Minors, the majors are pretty much guesses.”
Oct. 18 - Day 12 : Gordy creates a SHOCKINGLY accurate Spy list, correctly nailing 5 of 7 Spies when there are 23 people left: MINOR 1. Masaki 2. Leon 3. Naomi MAJOR 1. Madison
2. Zander 3. Faizah 4. Angelica. The investigation challenge begins. It quickly comes down to between Singe and Gordy, with very close numbers. Beverly urges Gordy to investigate Angelica. Faizah and Naomi switch their points to Gordy at the last minute. Singe writes a computer program claiming that the Citizens are doomed. In his confessional he admits he set it up purposely to convince the Spies to fight each other.
Oct. 19 - Day 13 : Exile III-1 : Jeremiah and Candy receive votes. Some Spies want Jeremiah gone because they think he is a good Citizen. Candy, the Fatemaker, is worried about her position and thinks about claiming her role. Jeremiah gets blindsided by friends, including close ally Naomi, and is Exiled in the most awkward, negative, and uncomfortable exit ever. Spies4 Jeremiah (9:24:44 PM): You're all assholes. Spies4 Jeremiah (9:24:59 PM): You motherfuckers betrayed me. Spies4 Jeremiah (9:25:38 PM): Fuck you all. People suspect Naomi for backstabbing her best friend so easily.
Oct. 20 - Day 14 : Ralph, a Citizen, claims to have a role he doesn’t have. This role does not fit with what has happened in the game and is quickly pointed out by others. Ralph: “honestly sam i did it because i did think out the role i thought lloyd would keep it to himself...........and it would help clear my name with him little did i know that backfired in my face” Hannah’s Citizen list: “angelica and faizah i think, probly emma, i think zander is likely cit spies4hannah (4:24:41 AM): i think gordy ralph abrams are suspicious” Hannah’s close friendship with nearly all the Spies would keep her in the game for a long time.
Oct. 21 - Day 15 : Exile III-2. Opening Video released. Ralph is easily Exiled because his claimed role does not hold up. The Burg is puzzled to see that he was a Citizen. Zander: “As far as finding spies, I think Naomi is definitely in the other group. Masaki too. And I don't mind working with them because they won't try to Imprison me. Obviously.”
Ralph: “am is suprised n i tried to play the game hoefully my exile wont be in vain and they will be able to use it fot eh good of finding spies there all idiots and personally i blame lloyd and jeremiah for plauing shittyaccusing games tanks sam it waqs ablast now im off to hell with marthaa lloyd and jer”
~ Episode IV ~
Oct. 22 - Day 16. Investigation drama. Singe pretends to have won the investigation. Singe: “I'll pretend to have the guilty when actually it's Gordy that got the inv. Hopefully he can sneak around behind the scenes and see who's nervous about what before I let the truth out--that I got an innocent result instead” Singe tests a few people, telling them he got a guilty result to see their reaction. Notable reactions: Beverly provides a convincing act and Leon looks suspicious. Gordy wins the Investigation and investigates Angelica. She is a Spy. He reveals this to the Burg.
Angelica and Naomi get into a bitter fight over who will join whose Family. Angelica: “And oh the BITCH Naomi is so going down. All that crap she gave me last night for not joining her family!” This would later cause an emotional Angelica to reveal Naomi as a Spy. Naomi, just minutes before she is revealed by Angelica: “Hey guys, we got this, we're soo bad ass... I have an eerie feeling I'm going to eat those words...”
Oct. 23 - Day 17 : Angelica, mind-boggingly, admits she is a Spy. She says she knows two Spies and wants to bargain to stay in the game. She says Naomi, who the Orthodoxy had investigated, is a Spy. Opinion on whether Naomi is a Spy is split. Judge Sam: “So yeah, total war Spy VS. Spy in one day. And this after they didn't want to go after each other for 4 rounds! I think it got a little too heated.”
Unknown to either Spy group, another Spy is going to be investigated. Fatemaker #4 is: “Who do you want to be Investigated?” Traditionalists, not knowing Candy is the Fatemaker, send her as the option. Orthodoxy, suspecting Beverly but Angelica / Naomi haven’t been outed when they sent it, sends Beverly to her doom. Candy learns that Beverly is a Spy. Candy: “OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Imprisonment IV. Emma is gone. Singe bodyguards Gordy and Bev. This is his third bodyguarding. Neither of the Spies are on the lookout for him. Orthodoxy Spies lose their powers. They got to investigate 4 people, be Immune from Imprisonment, and an extra vote at Exile.
Oct. 24 - Day 18 : Zander is off Adelaide’s list: “Zander has quieted down after being called out so much early on.” Naomi: “Alright as of right now, the burg is split on me. I can definitely appeal to some of these people's senses here, having logical arguments prepared.” Angelica: “I'm so disappointed in myself. I feel like I let Zander and Faizah down. I'm sorry guys!” Debate rages on whether or not to accept Angelica’s claim that Naomi is a Spy. Masaki and Beverly are in a tight position. Zander: “Up to this point I would have considered Angelica the best player so far this game, and I know... I KNOW how much it sucks to be investigated cause I was convinced for the longest time that I had been, and who knows, I might have and maybe Angelica just folded too easily to their bluff. But even if my chips were down and I was on my last hand, I would NOT FOLD FOR THE REST OF MY TEAM. I respected her SO MUCH up to this point and now? Now she just sits back and refuses to even come on.”
Oct. 25 - Day 19 : Exile IV: Angelica is voted out. Hannah: “basically all i felt at the end of this episode was that i was going to miss angie a lot even tho she is a spy...” It is now 2 vs. 3 vs. 14. Players participate in a hilarious Dear Abby. Adelaide defends Naomi, claiming Angelica is lying.
~ Episode V ~
Oct. 26 - Day 20 : Naomi continues to defend herself. Opinion in the Burg is split. Singe wants the Spies to Imprison Naomi. Adelaide: “Johan and Hannah are spies PLUS more” Bunni: “okay, guys, I find all of you all attacking Addy to be a bit hypocritical and detrimental to the progression of the game.” Naomi makes a really long post saying she suspects Damon.
Oct. 27 - Day 21 : Hannah: “Adelaide and her farfetched suspicions have become annoying and ridiculous.” Candy tells Summer that she investigated Beverly and Beverly is a Spy. Johan tells Candy he is the Priest. Leon lists many Spies in his Spy List.
Oct. 28 - Day 22 : Imprisonment V. Faizah pushes Gordy to be Imprisoned while Zander wants Singe. Gordy is Imprisoned, and his role is activated. He is safe and gets an investigation every turn. He asks: “Is Hannah an Traditionalist Spy?” Answer: no.
Mini Mafia: Bunni, Faizah, and Beverly win. Zander pretends to be horrible at the game in order to further his Spy agenda. Gordy is saved from being night killed then is killed the next night. The Orthodoxy are convinced that Masaki is a Spy.
Oct. 29 - Day 23 : Johan suspects Candy and Singe. Bunni: “Oh my GOSH, Abrams is boring. No wonder nobody wanted him in their family. And he ended up in mine. LAME.” Candy publicly announces that Beverly is a Spy. Beverly claims a fake role: the Village Decoy. She says that if she is investigated, she turns up Spy, but if she survives that, then she gets to be an Inheritor.
However, Candy has claimed that she investigated Beverly with her Mystery Prize in Episode II when she really did it in Episode IV. Beverly claims she received this in Episode II, before Candy knew she was a Spy. Fatemaker V: Candy chooses who gets Immunity from Exile V: Candy or Abrams? Naomi writes The Naomi Manifesto: Exile V Edition. Beverly types her first post without caps, claiming the whole thing was an act. Zander: “OMG I AM THE MASTER OF STRATEGIC DRUNK POSTING! The only way I can possibly make myself seem more like a citizen is by getting drunk and posting something that (even though drunk), makes me seem extremely like a violently drunk citizen! Isn't it a grand strategy?!”
Oct. 30 - Day 24 : Exile V. It’s a nail biting vote between Beverly and Naomi. Beverly manages to convince several people to keep her. Masaki and the Traditionalists decide to keep in Beverly as they think she would be more useful. Their plan fails. Candy and Summer trust in Madison: “summer talked to me last night and said that she decided i was probably a citizen based on my voting history.” Adelaide starts a case against Cain.
Beverly: “I had so much fun and I now know what it's like to be a spy. It's hard work, and it's fun, but it's full of paranoia. Is it worth it? Someone like me who is really good at lying... it was actually hard to do. I hated betraying my friends. I had to almost forget I was a spy sometimes just to be open with people. Was it worth it? I'm not too sure.”
Naomi: “Alright, lets face this: If I don't do something immediately, I'm fucked. That vote was wayyyy too close. So I figured out something I can do... Nothing. I know, it's genius. I'm going to lay low, and fly under the radar. This way, people address other people, and ignore the hell out of me.” Unfortunately, in Spies 4, it never really worked like that. People seemed to be set up days before the Exile and then it was locked in from there. Rarely did the opinion ever change.
Masaki: “It's time that I work on saving myself, unfortunately. All teammates are officially screwed. They're just in denial. Beverly is so done. Naomi is done. It sucks, but it's the truth.” Masaki discovers that Candy is the Fatemaker.
~ Episode VI ~
Oct. 31 - Day 25 : Candy is very very unhappy with the closeness of the last Exile vote. Singe goes on vacation for two weeks. The first contact between Spies takes place with an anonymous message. A new forum opens up for the Spies – Neutral Ground. In here they can talk to each other using an alias proboard name. Despite this new opportunity, very very little communication (if any) would take place through here. This was a huge advantage the Spies were given but were fearful to use in fear of Imprisonment / Exile.
Nov. 1 - Day 26 : Kip is replaced. Singe protects 5 people from Imprisonment as the Bodyguard: Masaki, Candy, Hannah, Naomi, Bunni. Candy and Masaki feud. Candy: “Mistaki and I aren't talking because he is a huge jackass with an ego the size of Greenland. Until he IMs me first I'm not saying anything to him.” Faizah: “what about Candy? The girl scares the shit out of me she is so smart. What she needs to be carefull of is not only do the spies take notice of this...but also she makes alot of people feel like crap in IM making them feel like idiots.”
Nov. 2 - Day 27 : Imprisonment VI. Traditionalists choose Gordy. Gordy: “I've lied a lot in this game. I told Candy Hannah was a confirmed citizen, even though she was only 50% cleared. I lied about my role, in hopes that if by revealing a fake role that I'd be imprisoned much earlier in the game. My downfall in this game: My loyalties to some people, even if they were a spy or not.” Fatemaker 6: “Roleblocked: Cain or Zander?”
Nov. 3 - Day 28 : Bunni makes a Freudian Slip, causing Zander to jump down her throat. This continues a dislike between the two. Many people are unsure on Candy – is she a Spy even though she is catching Traditionalists? Bunni: “I like Candy well enough, but I am suspicious of her, and I would like to see her go before people like Naomi do. I mean, there is A LOT of reasons to suspect Naomi and my mind is telling me to, but I have this gut feeling that she's not a spy.”
Nov. 4 - Day 29 : The vote is between Cain and Naomi. Candy wakes up in the morning and directs everyone to vote Naomi. They comply.
Exile VI, Trial of Bunni begins. Bunni is selected as the person the most people are undecided on. Judge Summer rules over her Court. DA is Faizah and Prosecutor is Leon.
Oct. 7 - Day 1 : Spies 4 begins at 9:30 AM CST. Most players check-in before the 9:00 PM Opening Chat. The character of Sherri is played by Ross (spies3Tenchi). Sherri will be Imprisoned first. Oct. 9 - Day 3 : Imprisonment I. Sherri: “I hope that the established culture of spreading information in the Burg would continue.” The Burg is shocked by Sherri’s Imprisonment.
