EXILE X
Judge Sam: “Rarely anyone reads these anyway. That might be because I am so swamped with work to do and Exile days are so hectic. There’s no way I could retain my sanity and produce this thing the night of the Exile. Even when I used to suck it up and do it later that night it would only be a surprise to a few (maybe 5 maximum) people. Everyone else will have seen the result in chat. As a result of the high work and low reward, I decided this season to write them up as soon as I have time. But because that is usually 1-2 days afterwards, it means rarely anyone reads them anyway (even if they do, that takes what like 45 seconds?), proving my original point!
The original point of these was to provide an entertaining and dramatic presentation to both players who couldn’t make Exile and Viewers. It is much more cooler to read these to see the Exile result rather than try and look through lines of a chat log for text that’s hard to read, interrupted by random things, and shown to you all at once. Another point for these is to look over after the game to have the event presented in a readable format. Those are all well and good, but they don’t justify the amount of time it takes to put into it. Even though I have a word file called “exile4temp” that I just fill in, it still takes awhile to piece it all together. Mostly reordering the votes from alphabetical order to the order I called them in chat. Man with 20+ votes that took forever lol.
Anyway, I’m rambling about nothing because usually announcements from this Exile would go here but those announcements are now three days old! The gist of the story is this: Exile posts should have been gone, but I was too stubborn to start them this season and not finish it. Starting with Spies 5 (if that happens), they definitely will be gone. I’ll miss the quotes at the end most of all. ;_;”
Sam stands up resolutely, picks up the voting shoebox, and begins walking amongst the townspeople. One by one, they drop their vote into the shoebox. Some are satisfied with their choice, others are nervous and unsure. Everyone - Citizens and Spies alike - are praying that their name does not come up.
Judge Sam: "All of the votes have been received and verified, and a result has been decided. Let the Exiling begin."
Let’s get to the votes.
Vote One:
Faizah, by Candy.
Faizah, by Leon.
Faizah, by Kip.
Faizah, Faizah, Faizah. Three for Faizah.
Vote Four:
Leon, by Faizah.
Candy, by Summer.
Kip, by Hannah.
Leon, Candy, Kip.
Three for Faizah, one each for Leon, Candy, and Kip.
Vote Seven >>>>>
Faizah, by Zander.
Faizah, by Singe.
Faizah, by Damon.
Final Vote Count:
6: Faizah
1: Candy
1: Kip
1: Leon
Faizah- You have been Exiled from the Burg under suspicion of being a Spy. It is now your time to leave. Goodbye.
Judge Sam: "I very much enjoyed having you play the game Faizah. You brought a unique energy to the game of Spies. Sure, maybe you were a little cliquey, but those that you did talk to enjoyed your conversation immensely. You were funny and personable, yet at times biting and confrontational. You played a great game to get so far. Your confessionals were a joy to read and I liked watching you strategize. So will everyone else after the game is over. Thanks again for playing and making your mark on the game.”
Faizah : Please post Final Words in your confessional immediately.
Faizah takes one last look at their former friends. Saddened by being suspected of a Spy by the people they trusted, they take their supplies and compass and head out into the wilderness, disappearing into the sunset. You will never see them again.
It is now time to find out if this person was truly a Spy. If they were, we will rejoice in becoming one step closer to safety and security. If they were not, we just cast out an innocent soul. Someone just like us. Someone who wanted to eliminate the Spies just as badly as we do.
Faizah was a....
SPY!
Judge Sam: “Excellent work. Another Exile, another Spy caught. Can’t ask for much more than that. There’s only one more Orthodoxy Spy left to catch, which means the Finale could happen at any moment.”
A chord, stronger or weaker, is snapped asunder in every parting, and time's busy fingers are not practiced in re-splicing broken ties. Meet again you may; will it be in the same way? With the same sympathies? With the same sentiments? Will the souls, hurrying on in diverse paths, unite once more, as if the interval had been a dream? Rarely, rarely!
