EXILE XI
Judge Sam: “Welcome to Exile XI / Possible Finale Night #1! I’m glad to have you here.
I want to take a moment to apologize a little for my snippiness last night. I don’t know what it was, maybe it was the new AIM I was using which made everything look strange or that AIM was being dumb and we had to use a chat which made it feel weird. It made everything seem so “off” last night. I didn’t feel like I had a grasp of what was going on. Definitely an off night.
Plus I think the idea of Exile chats need revision. If I was attending, I would be appreciative of the fact that the host is doing a million things behind the scenes AND running the chat, but still. It’s so slooooow. I would be bored out of my mind. Plus, Exile Questions are nice, but I can’t help but think they’ve lost their focus. I need to think about how to make Exile chats both time-efficient and more entertaining.
The thing is during them I am doing SO much stuff behind the scenes. Every time someone IM’s me it takes 15 seconds to respond. Plus I have to make sure everybody has gotten in the chat and respond to everyone’s personal issues. Then I have to post scheduling and questions (which I do write beforehand but still). Not to mention vote counts / checking. With all the hecticness it just drags on too long. I’ll think about it when I have time after the game is over.”
Sam stands up resolutely, picks up the voting shoebox, and begins walking amongst the townspeople. One by one, they drop their vote into the shoebox. Some are satisfied with their choice, others are nervous and unsure. Everyone - Citizens and Spies alike - are praying that their name does not come up.
Judge Sam: "All of the votes have been received and verified, and a result has been decided. Let the Exiling begin."
There’s only seven votes to count tonight. It only takes four to clinch. First up we have:
Leon, by Hannah.
Hannah, by Leon.
Hannah. Leon. Both of them vote for each other.
In case you have difficulty counting beyond 1, the vote count is now one for Hannah and one for Leon. Yes, I know how ridiculous it is to remind you of vote counts after nearly every vote. Surely you can keep track yourself. =)
Vote three:
Hannah, by Kip.
Hannah, by Zander.
Hannah. Hannah.
Another superfluous reminder: Hannah has 3 votes, Leon has 1. It only takes one more vote for Hannah to be Exiled.
The fifth vote:
Hannah, by Summer.
Hannah, by Candy.
Hannah, by Damon.
Final Vote Count:
6: Hannah
1: Leon
Hannah - You have been Exiled from the Burg under suspicion of being a Spy. It is now your time to leave. Goodbye.
Judge Sam: "Thank you for playing Hannah, I enjoyed having you play so much. You dived into this game from day one – even spending that half hour getting Pidgin to work with me – and you never once stopped sprinting. That’s better than even I did with this game! Everybody’s first game is such a unique and rewarding experience that I’m afraid is difficult to repeat. I hope you got as much out of it as I did by having you play. Despite being 8 hours ahead of many of the players, you still caught up the game in every way, from your excellent daily thoughts, to your many conversations and your insightful posts in the Burg. Thanks again and thanks for being so amazing with how unfortunate things ended for you. I don’t think I’d be quite as rational! lol.”
Hannah : Please post Final Words in your confessional immediately.
Hannah takes one last look at their former friends. Saddened by being suspected of a Spy by the people they trusted, they take their supplies and compass and head out into the wilderness, disappearing into the sunset. You will never see them again.
It is now time to find out if this person was truly a Spy. If they were, we will rejoice in becoming one step closer to safety and security. If they were not, we just cast out an innocent soul. Someone just like us. Someone who wanted to eliminate the Spies just as badly as we do.
Hannah was a....
Citizen.
Judge Sam: “Well so much for that whole Finale thing that was supposed to happen tonight. That’s going to be pushed back another Exile. Hannah, a Citizen, has been Exiled from the Burg. Let us hope that the events of this Episode have helped us in the long run.
Imprisonment will be Friday or Saturday. Exile will be Sunday or Monday. Post your schedules in the Exile thread.
