So what do we know right now?
1) Martha can't read particularly well, or rather, chooses not to. I posted a very clear pair of questions to her, she ignored them in two posts of hers, and now pretends she couldn't FIND the questions:
"Martha, please analyze Zander's posts, all of them, in exquisite detail. Then please explain why you found him one of your top three candidates for Spy, but changed your mind after Ralph's one paragraph defense."
Reading's fundamental, baby.
2) Martha is positive Zander's a spy now, after just voting for Kip instead.
3) Zander thinks Martha and I are likely Spies together after this circus that just went down. Z, I'll give you a bag of hammers and a balloon if you can find someone who agrees with you on that.
4) By grilling Martha instead of Kip, I've launched this game into orbit. Ground control to Major Tom, can you hear me, can you please read my questions to Martha, Major Tom?
5) Lotsa people eating popcorn.
6) If Martha is a Spy, a logical play would have been to put up a lousy Cit against his spypartner. Low risk, high reward: makes him look TOUGH on his spypartner. Zander-Martha phony fight is a definite possibility here.

Zander - I'm not going to go through your post point by point because we're arguing in circles and it's obvious we're not getting anywhere by doing so. It seems to me that you're claiming to be helpful when in fact, looking at your posts, you really haven't been. You did that many times over as a spy in Spies 4. So to say that you're acting more like you did in Spies 3 (as a citizen) than Spies 4 (as a spy) - I don't see it. I really don't.
Like I said, it's fair that you'd be on the defensive when I nominated you. But Kip got three votes in quick succession and I still don't see anything substantial from you (other than your suspicions of me, which I know are wrong). Which is ok because a lot of other people haven't contributed anything substantial either. The thing is, they haven't claimed to either. You have.
I'll answer one point of yours though:
Calling me names doesn't explain why you haven't pointed out that I put up two innocent people for elimination, if you're innocent. It's the first thing I would have done as a citizen, obnoxious or not. I still don't see why you'd suspect me and not say that, unless it never occurred to you. And the only way it wouldn't occur to you to point out that I'd put two innocents up is if you knew both players weren't innocent - meaning you are mafia.
I'm not 100% convinced that you're mafia, but I think you're a strong suspect. Frankly I don't know what you could do to convince me otherwise right now; we've got into that state where anything I say you'll find suspicious - or claim to - and vice versa. (Think Anneliese and Miles, or Reicheru and Judith, or Candy and Cain come to that.) If you really aren't mafia then that's not a good place to be.
OK, next boy... Singe, I didn't say I could find your questions. I said I'd already answered them. I answered them before you even posted the questions in the first place. I wasn't convinced by his Sam-Sherri suspicion (although going on my own analysis of the voting, on the chance that Zander's not mafia, he could very well be right.) I haven't done an analysis of every single one of his posts, true. Do I need to? I've stated exactly what my reasons were for suspecting him then, and a few more since. One major one is two paragraphs up from this one.
Don't put words in my mouth. Here's an example of that: you asked me when I'd "changed my mind" about Zander. Sure I changed my vote. But when did I ever say I changed my mind about Zander being a strong suspect? Ralph said that if he was a citizen, he'd be a lot more helpful around than Kip would. That's fair enough and it didn't seem right to keep an active possible citizen over an inactive possible mafia, so I switched. I'm kinda regretting it now, but WTH.
Singe, you think our fight could be phony. I'll give you a bag of hammers and a balloon if you can find someone who agrees with you on that! I do agree with you in that you and I aren't both mafia...
I also agree that it's unlikely that both you and Zander are mafia at this point. Which means that at least one mafia is probably sitting back and watching the fireworks. Heck, if I'm wrong about Zander then both could be. That worries me a lot. I have no tell on half the people here, and one thing Zander is right about is that we shouldn't vote somebody out just because they've been more vocal and there's more "tells" against them because of it. We should get more people involved and contributing to this so that it becomes more clear what side everyone's on.

Singe, I didn't say I could find your questions. I said I'd already answered them. I haven't done an analysis of every single one of his posts, true. Do I need to? No. But we attorneys find it real easy to get people convicted when they avoid questioning at trial. I'll let others pursue the line of questioning, as I've made my point and I want to see if anyone else gives a shit.

I guess since it seems like I'm supposed to vote too I'll vote for Kip . Not much of an option here... My gut is telling me he's not a mafia but I don't wanna go either so... Yeah. - Me, Page 3 - Me, Page 4... So yes David, I did say TWICE before Kip's identity reveal that I thought he was innocent. And honestly, his reveal as such doesn't necessarily prove you to be spy or citizen. Look at Spies 3, where you and I basically ran the game by forcing citizen exiles for a good 4 or 5 weeks... Your top suspects being citizens doesn't necessarily mean anything. And considering I've seen first-hand how terrible we can be as citizens, no, I'm not going to rule out you being a citizen JUST because of your bad nominations. Singe, it might seem like we had a fake fight, but no, David really always does piss me off this much. Especially when I sit here contributing and I'm told it's not worth anything. I'm basically gonna beg everyone at this point that I either get nightkilled or exiled immediately if every time I contribute I'm told it's meaningless. I really don't feel like getting shit every time I talk and being called useless when there are at least 4 other people not saying anything in this entire game. So spies can either kill me now or let everyone waste an exile eventually, your call. Saying that stuff is the exact type of pretentiousness I was talking about David ("I'm more useful than YOU. YOUR ideas and thoughts don't mean anything more than the people who haven't posted anything. My name is DAVID and I'm amazing blah!"). I wasn't name-calling, I was describing your personality. I would consider "Yelling it from the rooftops" to be obnoxious. You wouldn't?

*SCREECHING HALT*
Completely crazy thought. Adelaide said that she needed to be emailed so she could hand out prizes, because Sam can read PMs.
Wouldn't that also make Sam able to read all role PMs?
So why wouldn't Adelaide be worried about Sam being able to read PMs to see who the mafia were?
I'm thinking that the logical answer is that Sam is a mafia and therefore Adelaide wasn't worried about him seeing role PMs (I'd imagine that's how they were divvied out)... Or there is the possibility that Adelaide didn't realize Sam could have read role PMs or something but again, I think the first scenario is more likely.
Any thoughts about a host slip-up pointing us to a mafia?

Martha gave me the idea of sending PMs, long before I'd even used random.org to determine who was mafia. Not one but of game information has been used through PMs, its all through AIM and email. In no shape or form has the system used have anything got to do with Sam's idendity. As long at least one person finds it unfair to use PMs (Martha) then I won't use them!
I will contact the relevant people by today I PROMISE.

No, I pointed out myself that Sam would be able to read all PMs, and it was because of that that Adelaide used different methods.
Singe, I assure you that Anneliese (Zander's character in Spies 3) did occasionally p--s me off this much as well, and apparently he's not lost the ability to do so now! I'm not going to reply to Zander's post because the Kip bit alters nothing with regard to my own reasoning, and the rest I've pretty much covered already. Let's PLEASE get somebody else to post an opinion or something so that we can get off the Singe-Zander-Martha show, it's getting boring already. We need a fresh point of view.
Forgot to say - I'm not positive Zander's a spy. You can build a far better circumstantial case against someone than I have against Zander now (come to think of it, I had a pretty good one against you in Spies 4 - and look at Candy's case against Cain) and it can still turn out to be wrong. The only person I was ever 100% positive on was Judith (citizen from Spies 3), although I couldn't see how Gigi (from Spies 1) could possibly be a citizen. I was 100% wrong about Judith and 100% right about Gigi. Take your pick.

No because earlier on I said that any imprisoned prizes are given to defandants (Zander in this case). This combats that from happening. I was debating whether to make the prizes public. I was even going to make them known before lawyers were picked but decided against it. In the end I have to make them public to get the game moving along (well the game is going great but to get the game to its next stage I have to do this!) God I feel like Sam. Funny thing: At the bottom of this page right now for me it says "Ads By google: Zander. www.marthastewart.com David Bowie Zander the Great"

I think the smartest investigation choice at this point in time would be on someone who hasn't said that much since Round 1 really took off. I would recommend Sherri or Damon, who if they are spies are basically undetectable at this time. Of course confirming me could be a good asset for a day or so (i.e. I'm confirmed through the investigation, I'm elected judge and so therefore a confirmed citizen stays for at least 2 days), or we could investigate Singe and hopefully come up with the same result (or if he's a spy, just as good, we get rid of one), but he won't be immune from imprisonment. Investigating Martha and having her coming up cit. isn't exactly ideal because we can't elect her judge to keep her safe.
For the sake of potentially having a confirmed citizen as judge, I'm going to request that you use the investigation on me, Ralph. You don't have to but I think it's the best decision to keep a contributing confirmed around. (And if this spawns any Ralph + Zander = mafia theories, please, do me a favor and save it. I'm tired of being the eternal spypartner for everyone else in this game, and I'm doing this to get us somewhere).

This investigation business complicates things. I can see more potential WIFOMs than you could shake a very large stick at. A positive breeding ground for WIFOMs, in fact.
What does everybody think?

But with card flip on it will be ridiculously easy to catch someone trying to frame someone else. That's at least the bright side to the whole situation, so we are less likely to see spy frames and more likely to see spy-clears...
On another site that I play at there are more spyframes than spyclears without cardflip, which makes it harder to figure out...
Like I said, if Ralph uses it on me, I think it's the smartest move. I know why people might be skeptical but what are the odds that Ralph and I are spies and my spypartner was randomly selected to defend me and we would win the first investigation? Really not that high.
Me being confirmed does us a lot of good... But I agree with you, other people NEED to start speaking up.

Well when the cop I led reveals me as a citizen, you can regret thinking along basic mafia strategy. I'm not your average mafia player and this actually IS the smartest move we can make at this point. When you lead the cop to yourself it's generally less scummy anyway, and I have nothing to hide and would very much enjoy being a confirmed citizen Judge, so if Ralph is willing to give me that chance then we can go from there.

**Shameless Plug** I'm hosting a mafia game on DDRFreak.com (Lloyd, Jeremiah and I play there) and it's really the first mafia game I've hosted, so I would really like to get some good participation. Since I know all of you guys are good, I'd love to have you play. All you have to do is register with the site and then sign up in my thread (Just post "in" or "playing" or something). It's really fun and won't be a huge commitment, so please help me out and take part in a fun game I also have some fairly creative roles compared to typical mafia games so it should be fun! www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=8825593#8825593Thanks in advance and I hope to see you guys join us

can i wait to investigate until imprisonment so i can see who is left? And do i post or email u my investigation choice? P.S...I will take ure ideas into consideration but i think i am going to go with Zanders first advice and investigate a more quiter player for the reason of the people who are talking will give more possible evidence to them being a spy but these quiet people are really scaring me cause they are not giving any evidence one way or the other

"Leading the cop" is scummy. Leon "led the cop" in Spies 4, if you recall, and he was a citizen. I'm not saying Zander is, I'm just saying that I don't consider this evidence against him.

And after the kill we'll have 6 left. Which basically gives us two chances to get a successful lynch or we lose.
